England coach Marco Garibaldi has made several surprise selections in his preliminary 31-man CSA World Cup squad.
London Town defender Shane Macdonald and Real Birmingham keeper Darren Nicholls make their first England squad, while Monsters' Ian Parker and London Town's Andrew Corne return to the England fold.
Uncapped defenders Shane Bentley of the Monsters, is in the squad as well, as well as FC London duo Jeremy Constantinidis and Scott Casey.
Barnsworth's Andre Collins is the only E-League representive in a squad dominated by BritLeague clubs.
Midfielder Parker and defender Bentley may feature in the CSA Champions League Final against Barcelona Bullfighters, only two days before England's first friendly.
England play Russia at the Vodafone Stadium on 24 May and the United States in Austria six days later as part of a pre-tournament training camp.
That will provide Garibaldi with time to work with a much-changed squad and put the finishing touches to his preparations.
Shane Macdonald has been rewarded for a fine start to the season with an England call-up, teaming up with his older brother, London United defender and captain John.
"I always dreamed of playing in a World Cup," said Shane. "Now that dream just might come true."
Garibaldi has included 27-year-old Nicholls among his three goalkeepers after the Real Birmingham man enjoyed an outstanding start to the BritLeague season with his side topping the table.
Parker, who has not been involved in the England set-up since EuroCup '08, is a surprise call-up, having just only returned since tearing his anterior cruciate ligament last August.
But the Monsters' 23-year-old London-born midfielder hit a hat-trick in the Tyne-Tees derby against Newcastle Geordies in his comeback game, and has suddenly rediscovered his form.
"He has only just come back from serious injury, but from what I have seen of Parker for the last few weeks, he's good enough to go," explained Garibaldi. "I was aware that he was a good player before the hat-trick - before his injury, and because he's in such a rich vein of form, I called him up and said he was in my squad."
But Parker himself was complete shock when he got a call from the manager. He said: "I'm completely surprised. I didn't expect it, because I'd only just come back.
"But I always had dreams of being in a World Cup squad, and if I make the final cut, that dream could come true."
Parker's Monsters team-mate Bentley's selection was more expected, with the 25-year-old centre-half performing admirably en route to the CSA Champions League final.
"Bentley is one of the great English defenders," said Garibaldi. "He is no nonsense, tackles well and clears the ball the right time."
FC London's England U21 midfielder and born and bred Londoner Constantinidis, also known as "Jezza", recently snubbed Greece in order to live his dream of playing for the country of his birth at senior level.
CSA rules say that a player can change nationalities at any age after representing nations at youth levels, but 21-year-old Constantinidis, who has a Greek grandfather, decided it would be in the best interests of him to remain English.
Jezza's teammate Casey, 23, has also had a brilliant start to the season since moving to the FC London Stadium from E-League side London City.
The midfielder, nicknamed "Nutcase", has fast become a Megahoops fan favourite, with his no-nonsense style of tackling, but unfortunately Casey has also had problems with his temper, being sent off on his BritLeague debut against Edinburgh as well as receiving three yellow cards for the season.
Collins, who can play full-back or wing-back on either flank, has had a stellar season winning the E-League and CSA England Cup with Barnsworth and is the only one flying the E-League flag in an almost completely BritLeague-based squad.
The 27-year-old was selected for the MegaCup last year, but did not play, and this is the first time he's been in the England side since then.
As has London Town winger Andrew Corne, who can play left wing, left back and central midfield. He has been in and out of the England side, but the 26-year-old has been rewarded for his scintillating form this season.
Real Birmingham forward Adam Barry, son of his club manager Mike Barry, is hoping to go one better than his dad by winning the World Cup.
Mike was part of the 1994 England side that lost to Brazil in the final, but Adam, 21, wants to do his dad proud by winning it.
"I was only five back then, but I still remember my dad playing in the final watching from the stands," said Adam. "I remember crying after the match because I wanted Dad to win it for us.
"Now I can do him a favour by winning it myself."
Eyebrows were raised, however, over the inclusion of Peter Elkins, given that the Manchester Rockers striker has rarely scored in the BritLeague season, but Garibaldi has defended his decision because he is 6'8" tall.
"If we are forced to play a long ball game, then giant players like Elkins are a necessity," Garibaldi explained.
"He is such a menace in the air and that is important for us."
London United dominate the squad with eight of their players included, notably star midfielder Craig Craico, while BritLeague champions London Town have six and their defender, Daniel Perry, is also England's captain as well as theirs.
